Ceriel Desal (23) enters his second professional year in 2023 with our team Bingoal Pauwels Sauces WB. The Flandrien ride is looking forward to the start of the new season, which he hopes to complete without the health problems that slowed him down during the 2022 campaign. He finished 10th of the ZLM Tour, 24th of the Circuit Franco-Belge, 6th of the Omloop Mandel-Leie-Schelde. His season had started on January 30 at the GP La Marseillaise and ended on October 9 at the GP van Steenbergen.

Ceriel Desal. “I was very satisfied with the recent preparation camp in December with the team. We rode for eight days without a rest day. The conditions were perfect and the atmosphere in the group, with the eleven new riders, is very familiar. This group promises a lot for 2023! In 2023 I will be in my second professional season with the Bingoal Pauwels Sauces WB group. Le start of last season was difficult due to health problems. I was often off during the spring, which was very frustrating because I am a classic rider. My 2022 season only really started in June and I only have 47 race days, which is not a lot. I was nevertheless satisfied with my second part of the season where I achieved some results, at the ZLM Tour, at the Circuit Franco-Belge. I hope to have better luck in 2023. I will start my season at the Saudi Tour and the Tour of Oman: these two races should allow me to be ready for the beginning of the classics season. My goal is to try to stand out, to get into good breakaways, to help our leaders. I also want to be in good condition in the second part of the season, like in 2022. I know that I can still improve and learn, among other things, to better manage my efforts in the race, to remain calm. I am looking forward to the start of the season! »
