The Belgian pursuit team at the Paris Olympics

Runners from the Belgian team pursuit team qualified for the Paris Olympic Games on Friday. The Belgians Tuur Dens, Lindsay De Vylder, Noah Vandenbranden and our runner Thibaut Bernard won their Olympic ticket as part of the round of the Nations Cup taking place in Milton (Can).

Thibault Bernard. “We qualified Belgium thanks to our second place at the Nations Cup in Milton behind the British European champions. The selection of riders by Belgian Cycling will be done in the coming weeks, and I hope to be selected, I am confident because I have shown good things, there will be four or five riders called up for the Olympics. But I can say that our results in Milton are very positive, it is our first podium in the Nations Cup and we are a very young team, which can therefore still progress. I'm now going to take a little rest to get back on the road. My season started well at the Tour de Provence and then I got sick and I was never really able to get back to my good feelings. The short-term goal is therefore to rebuild a new base to perform at the best level on the road where I still have a lot to show. » (Photo Belgian Cycling)
