Turkey is ideal for getting back into rhythm

Nathan Vandepitte returns to the peloton during the Tour of Türkiye (2.Pro, 21-28/04). Our runner had to interrupt his spring program due to injuries following a fall in Brugge-De Panne. He had suffered after-effects on his back which forced him to rest. He was thus unable to honor his two spring objectives, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.

Nathan Vandepitte. “I am very happy to be able to give out a bib for the Tour of Türkiye. I suffered a lumbar muscle contusion and a crural nerve blockage after my fall in Brugge-De Panne. I was forced to take 16 days off work, barely being able to walk at first. So I had to skip races that are among the most beautiful of the year, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix, which was very hard to accept. I was able to resume training a little over ten days ago in preparation for the rest of the season. The Tour of Turkey will be my recovery race: it will be ideal for training and getting back into racing rhythm while putting myself at the service of the team. The goal is to get back into good condition in eight days of racing. »

“After Turkey, I will compete in the Tro Bro Léon, the 4 Days of Dunkirk, races which suit me very well and where I will aim for the result. »
